Artist

Rudolf Draheim

The essence of Draheim's abstract works lies in their illusionistic spatiality, the richness of their colors, and the dynamism of their structures. Each painting invites viewers to linger, discovering new details and engaging in a meditative exploration of the canvas. Reflecting on his experiences as a former prisoner of war in the Potulice internment camp in Poland in 1945, Draheim's artistic process serves as a reflection of life's struggles and uncertainties. Moreover, his paintings serve as a metaphor for the human quest for discovery and exploration of the unknown, wherein each encounter unveils a new facet of the artwork, mirroring the perpetual journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.
